Complaint / review text:
I bought a washer-dryer combination from Sears on December 2. I looked up the info online but called Sears appliances to place the actual order. There were about $400 in hidden costs I would have missed on my own. The delivery and installation were set for December 5. A strange company kept calling about the installation of the gas dryer. Each time they had a different complaint about Sears and each time Sears customer service told me that all is fine now. My last call to Sears I was told not to talk to the company. On December 5, a man came to deliver the washer and dryer. I asked him for an ID and was told he didn't have one. He said he could only install the washer. The dryer was left in my garage. The man did not test the washer, left a mess on the floor, and asked me to sign paper that I couldn't have a copy of. I called Sears fornthe fourth time, got routed all around and finally reached a woman in installation who said that if was now too late to reach the installers and I would be rescheduled in six days. All tuis joy for just $2008.
