VW Polo broken keys

Complaint / review text:
Both my car keys broke and I went to VW in Midrand to get a new set of keys, I was told when I walked into the dealership that they see these often and there is a guy that can fix them for R 700.00 or I can spend R 2000.00 for a new set of keys and 1,400 to re-program. I left with the keys and called VW customer services and they asked me to send the picture of both broken keys to which I did. I then received a call from VW SA to tell me this is not a product issue for the fact that they have lasted this long. Basically I have to spend 3,500 every two years to replace the keys and this according to Lynne @VWSA is not aware that there is a problem with VW Golf or Polo keys. If anyone Googles VW broken keys you will find a massive response and tricks of how to fix these keys. There are even people you can call that can replace the casing for 800 rands and VW tells me this is not their fault I must pay 3,5K (7k for both) to replace these keys.
