I have decided to boycott any service that SAPO offers if I can, as the company is totally unreliable.
I have had two parcels that were sent from overseas gone missing - I considered it as really unfortunate, but since they were sent without tacking numbers, then advised the senders to always use registered postage with tracking. How naive was I...
I asked my mom to send me something at the end of June (from Europe) and she did post it with tracking and all. On Saturday, almost a month after the parcel was received by SAPO, I finally got it, only to find that the parcel had been opened, then resealed with some tape and the thing I asked my mom to send was missing.
I lodged an investigation in the post office (Marshalltown), where at least the customer service was really friendly and the person who dealt with me was empathetic and concerned. But the fact of the matter is that SAPO service cannot be trusted, with or without tracking, there is no way of knowing that anything will arrive fully to the recipient.
There is no way I am going to use SAPO services again, even for sending a simple letter.
