I have been using Vertizon Wireless since the 90's and I am also a stockholder in the company. I upgraded my phone and entered into a new plan in November 2014 and when I did this at the Vertizon Store they told me that the 500 mg data plan plus 1 gig promo would continue over the two year contract. I just found out that the promo has lapsed despite what was communicated to me from the sales rep and manager. Additionally, they have offered to provide a promo of 500 mg instead of the gig or I can pay additional for the gig of data. I have been a long standing customer who has paid thosands of dollars for service since the 90's. What I have been told is that I would have to leave Verizon for them to correct the issue and be able to offer me the same plan over the duration of my contract. They are unable to do anything in the system while I am a customer but that they are able to offer that if I were to leave. I am so incensed as a customer and a shareholder that Verizon Wireless would resort to such unscrupulous actions and poor business practices against a long standing loyal customer. And the fact that you would only fully resolve this if I were to disconnect and leave infuriates me to no end. Well Verizon, If I leave due to failure of your organization to provide the services that I was promised, I will never come back.
