Barnes and Noble
Problem with return

Complaint / review text:
The Barnes and Noble salesman tried to play a scam on me. They told me that they could not return a book because it is considered a textbook.

This was a bogus excuse because there was no sign anywhere in the store that textbooks could not be returned but the bigger issue is that books that would not be considered a textbook are called "textbooks" so that they have an excuse to deny a return.

If I were to buy a book called " an introduction to college math" or "Introductory English" those are obvious textbooks but there are book titles that don't clearly appear to be a textbook. If they have a such a policy, they should write that clearly in big posters and post it all over the store so that everyone can see it.
