My account was set up for automatic renewal. The price had gone up dramatically so I decided to cancel my subscription.
Six months ago when my account was about to renew, my credit card online had expired so I assumed my account wouldn't be renewed.instead, they changed the expiration date of my credit card online and charged my credit card for another 6 months.
This time I called 2 days before the scheduled automatic renewal to cancel. My credit card was charged anyway. I called again, they said I had 2 accounts - 1 was a free access account (through the library) and 1 a billed one.
They had cancelled the free account. She cancelled the billed account this time and said there would be a credit on my account in 10 to 14 days.
I have disputed the charge with my credit card company just in case this problem drags on.
