Tried to cancel my account using the support email a couple months ago (December 2014) after failing to reach them by phone (you leave a message and then wait for a call back, which never comes), but they charged me again with a recurring charge on my credit card in January even though I am not getting any services from them. (Strangely, if I understand it correctly, they gave me an introductory offer which worked for a limited number of look-ups (10 or 20, I think) in their newspaper archive, but now they keep charging me the $9.95 a month (for no services whatsoever).
This seems to be a company that has turned its incompetency (or dishonesty) in handling complaints or cancellations into an income stream. The longer the disputes drag on, the more money they make. By the way, the company has 88 billing complaints on record with the Better Business Bureau.in many cases, they do not even respond.
We don't know how many people had to cancel the credit card to stop the billing.
