Hi, i am pissed with ATT and ready to change carriers (which i have been considering for a long time). I have been a customer of ATT for many, many years. I have an iphone 3g which i have not upgraded yet. I was grandfathered into the unlimited data plan. A few weeks, ago, seeing that there was a cheaper data plan option, i decided to try that (to see if it works out). Today I received a text message saying that i had used the 100% of my alloted time. Seeing that this plan was not for me, i went back to my plan options and SURPRISE! The unlimited plan was no longer there! What?!!! This royally pissed me off! For many, many reasons:
1) i was not aware that the unlimited plan was not available to all customers, only a few. Why weren't old customers forewarned in writing and clearly on the website, of their unlimited plan benefits and the fact that it would not be available if they changed rates!!!
2) when i changed plans, ATT did not send a warning stating that once I changed my plan, i would not be able to return to my old unlimited plan. Thus, the unlimited plan is only available to old customers IF they don't make changes. THAT IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION and SHOULD BE DISCLOSED openly and clearly. Not warning customers is a very deceiving practice!
I am completely pissed at this and will be filing a complain to the FCC. BEsides, i will be changing my service.
ATT, get your act together.
