Complaint / review text:
My father passed away on 27/05/2014. As the Executor of his Estate, I completed his tax return and submitted it to SARS via eFiling. I also went to SARS in Doringkloof on 06/06/2014 with my mom and registered my father as deceased and submitted all the required documents which SARS scanned in to their system. On my father's tax return, I changed the bank details to those of my mother's as she is the beneficiary of my dad's estate. SARS then sent my mom a letter but as a result of the postal strike, my mom only got the letter recently where SARS was requesting proof of banking details. I took my mom again into SARS on 25/11/2014 and first they told me that my father had not been registered as deceased. They the found the documents which I previously took to them. I have now received an email from SARS where they are asking me to submit my father's 2015 tax return before they will refund his monies for the 2014 tax year. I have contacted both the medical aid as well as the pension fund and was advised by both that their IRP5's will only be provided in 2015. I am now sick of being sent from pillar to post and expect SARS to pay the refund which is due now!!!
