Another typical example of DHA's Negligence and Carelessness.

We submitted all documents required on the 26-Mar-2014 for my wife's ID book.

More than 3 MONTHS later, on the 7-Jul, received SMS from DHA acknowledging receipt of the ID application under ref # 00051876862.

After ANOTHER 3 MONTHS, on 1 Oct-2014, we inquired on 0800 601190 and told that the application has been suspended pending submission of Permanent Residence permit. Were told to go to the Akasia DHA office, where docs have been initially submitted and present the PR permit.
Note, that PR permit was submitted at application and is a core document without which application docs are not accepted.
Further, Surely DHA does have access to Permanent Residence file. Hence it is a waste of time and resources of both DHA officers and applicant to go all the way to Akasia DHA, wait on a queue, and speak to attending officer.
On the 2-Oct-2014 we contacted DHA - Akasia and spoke with Mphatla Nkwana. On the 21-Oct-2014 she replied via email "Your application is at first issue since 16.10.2014 and will soon be processed".

So far NOTHING and no replies on emails what so ever.
