Complaint / review text:
I have submitted my income tax return on the 1st of July 2014, the 2nd of July 2014 SARS requested I must submit my supporting documents, I act and submit all documents, I receive on the 9th July 2014 a ITA34 with a refund due to me, I contact the call center today 29th July 2014 and request my status why the funds due to me is not deposit into my bank account. The call center advise me that the Auditor that verified my documents made a mistake and use my old SARS reference number that has been changed in 2010 and the amount due to me is 0, I replied that is impossible because I am submitting my returns the last 4 year on my new SARS reference number with no problems, The lady at SARS call center said she will email the Auditor to rectify his mistake and she took my contact details that he auditor contact me.
Nobody from SARS contacted me,
It is scary that a Auditor at SARS can't operate a system and make unacceptable mistakes with no effort to rectify or contact me.
