Complaint / review text:
I placed an order for a sliding door knowing full well what I wanted and needed. The salesperson was very nice but apparently did not understand my need/want/desire or else JeldWin just shipped the wrong door. At any rate I now have a door that opens in an opposite direction than what I described as my need/want/desire.
Home Depot is insinuating that I agreed and signed off on the order"... Knowing it was not what I wanted... Seriously? Their "concession" is that they will get me a new correct door but I must pay for ANOTHER INSTALLATION FEE ($400) Plus I must pay a Restocking Fee of 15% of the cost of the $974 door (146.10).
So where is the thing called customer service? I have my own home flipping company so I know right from left and I clearly know and understand that sliding glass doors open on the right heading left when facing the door on the inside of the house
I am neither stupid or ignorant... As it appears Home Depot thinks I am. My 3000 real estate investor/rehab business associates will be sure to hear about the poor customer service I recd from the Home Depot on Virginia St in Reno.
