I purchased some Mohawk Carpet from Lowe's in February 2012 and it has started to mat down and is showing stains and wear patterns after only 2 years. Lowe's contacted Mohawk Carpets and Mohawk requested photos and a copy of the cleaning bill when I had it cleaned on 3-18-2014. Yesterday Mohawk Carpets denied my claim because the cleaning bill indicated there was excessive wear and carpet break down and also a bleach spot in the living room. I can find no bleach spot anywhere on the carpeting, but this is why they denied my claim. No one from Mohawk has seen the carpet to assess the damage or reason for denial of claim. I am going to contact Mohawk Carpets directly and see if I can get them to at least LOOK at the carpet. Will review my options after that!
