Complaint / review text:
We purchased a carpet from Home Depot for our dining room, living room, hallways, stairs and family room. We had Home Depot install it. I say Home Depot because they are the ones who hired this contractor to install the carpets. While they were installing the carpet I asked why they were not using a stretcher due to the size of the rooms. The supervisor stated they did not have one. However, once they were told to stop installing a stretcher by a miracle showed up in their truck. After installation the rugs were bubbled at the moldings in all rooms and hallway. After complaining to Home Depot, they sent the installers back out but they never corrected the problem. Since then we have had to hire our own carpet installers. The first thing we were told was the carpet was not installed properly. Home Depot people used one tack strip when they should have used two due to the size of the rooms. Also, the bubbling at the walls and the ripples were because the carpet had never been stretched.in the end we spent more money on a carpet we are unhappy with.
