Used this REMAX agent twice. I need my head examined.
First renters put deposit on house, never paid a month's rent. Agent told me they seemed OK but I knew their story made NO SENSE. The "check is in the mail. Lol" story. Swore she had proof of payment... Must've got lost in the mail and it's gonna be 2 weeks before they can re-issue a check.
Hmmm... I ask for proof of this check. Nothing. Nada. Finally, she tries sending an altered pic of the Cert.
Check made for the initial deposit. Scratched out the 11 and made it a 12. So after they left I used said agent. Finds someone decent. Makes the due date for the 3rd...??? Anyways, I have NEVER gotten the check on the 3rd.
Once the 4th I think. She never charges them a late fee. I have to HOUND HER or I'll simply not get a call or anything to get the check. I text her and you can tell she reads the text and realizes "oh, I forgot AGAIN." They split the payment last month, and I said as long as I get $600 by Friday no late fee.
I get a check for $555. Ok. So next month similar situation. She constantly reminds me of how I wouldn't charge a late fee if I got the $600 (she must've said "I have the text were u said that 9 times).
She literally sticks up for the renters. Not me. So here I am and I just went to pick up the balance (it's the 17th) and it's a check for $85. NO late fee.
AGAIN. AND, the previous month the AC needed charging so I got a rent check minus $150..??? I had someone gong out there. I got no call... So apparently they got it charged. However, I've yet to get an invoice (45 days ago).
So, apparently if you rent and you're a little short just make up a story that something broke and this agent will knock off the money from the rent without an invoice. So there's a tip for everyone. I called her today and she still brings up the "I have the texts from last month about the no late fee" stuff again... It's another month... I'm mad because here we are AGAIN and NO late fee for being 14 days late. I used her line "I have the text were you said ABSOLUTELY this month there will be a late charge." Again, she takes up for the renters.
ODD. Also, both payment from last month still comes up $100 short. So today I'm thinking I'm getting a check for this month's remaining balance of $85, plus a late fee of $60, plus the balance from last month of $100... And maybe another $150 as I've yet to get the AC invoice. I get the check... Open it up. It's for $85.
Me and my GF's mouth dropped. I text her and get the same "stick up for the renters and I have the text from last month about the late fee BS." I wish I was a renter now. If I knew what I could get away with I'd have rented a LONG time ago. Just say something broke... Maybe pay a few hundred bucks a week after the due date.
Maybe repeat again close to the end of the month. LATE FEE? What is that? Just get an agent like me who sticks up for YOU, the renter.
It's like I have a lawyer that misses court dates, and tells the Prosecutor "yea, my client. Look. Do what u want. It doesn't really concern me... 10 years in jail? OK, I'll let him know... Thanks." WTF.
