We paid for a dishwasher and installation on 12/14/14 to be delivered before Christmas. The delivery date was 12/22/14. On 12/21/14, we were given a 4 hour window for delivery, so my wife waited at home on that day for the dishwasher, and they never arrived. Half an hour outside of the delivery window, the driver called and said that they could not deliver it because they needed a smaller truck and our driveway was too small (had they delivered it within the allotted time frame, they could have parked right in front of our house, but parking access is restricted in the evenings). They told us we would receive a call the following day to reschedule delivery but that installation, despite being paid for, would have to be scheduled separately. We never received a call. We called the number we had been given and it was only a recording. We did not have our dishwasher over the holidays, which was the plan. We left messages and even called Home Depot 's escalation number for another week - they kept saying that they would call us back, contact a manager, get this "taken care of, " but nobody ever called us or made any effort to deliver the product that we had paid for. Finally, today, on 12/31, two weeks after I had paid for my product, and 9 days after its scheduled deliver, I simply called and canceled the order altogether. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had - even their corporate escalation department acted like this was par for the course, and made no real effort to redeem their brand or their reputation with me (offering free installation, a discount, or anything else).
