Purchased a recliner on 5/21/15. Delivered 6/16/15. By 7/28/15, noticed a distinct wobble in the left arm. It became more pronounced. As I was getting out of the chair, I heard a tearing sound. The fabric tore from the bottom of the left arm upward. I called Customer Service. On 8/11/15 a tech came out and took some pictures. He said that the chair could be fixed by replacing the entire arm. He also said that it would take 6-8 weeks. I am disabled with Lymphedema. I depend on my recliner to get my legs elevated. I also sleep in the chair all the time as I am no longer capable of sleeping in bed. Try going without your bed for 6-8 weeks!
The Representatives told me that if the technician says the chair is repairable, it will be returned to factory specifications. Isn't this a lot like telling someone that if you do the same thing over and over again, you will get a different result? Fortunately, I kept the old recliner that this chair was going to replace. I have had to put it back into operation while waiting for a decision concerning this chair. I want a replacement chair of a different design.
