We had a brand new unit installed 6 weeks ago. We are a small business and entering our busy season in September. Our old unit was brand new 10 years ago and we began to have a few service calls and decided to bite the bullet and get a new unit so that we didn't have to worry about it going out, so we shelled out $6,000 for new Carrier unit. We've had 2 service calls since the new Carrier unit was installed. The 2nd call was today and it is a bad motor, it went out completely. I can't even begin to express my dissatisfaction on this brand new Carrier unit and a motor going out after 6 weeks. Our original unit was a Trane and we didn't have any motor issues until about 5-7 years.
