I had a Dyson DC14 for about 5 years with no problem. The brush roller one day stopped spinning and not one place in town repairs vacuums so I was forced to go out and buy a new vacuum. Since my old Dyson had been such a great vacuum for so many years, I decided to go out and buy a new one. We went to Kohl's and got a great deal on a new DC65. The tank on this says, "4 times the suction of a Shark Rotator Pro Lift-Away NV501."
I'm honestly kind of baffled by that statement because as I'm typing this, my 3 week old vacuum is sitting in a couple pieces in front of me. This thing does NOT suck up even the smallest crumb. All the brush does is spin and cause crumbs to go flying out all over. The tank is barely filled after vacuumed by my living my room and I still see dirt and crumbs on the floor. I have looked in all tubes and there is no blockage. The filter is spotless. Take this on hardwood floor and turn the setting to hard floors and there is zero suction. You run it back and forth over dirt and the crumbs sit there. I'm pretty frustrated that his thing sucks so bad, (pun noted) and I'm planning to take it back to the store.
