Well, Tiffany. You wrote, "I bought a SmartStrand carpet a little over a year ago and my carpet looks like it's 10 years old. I got my carpet professionally cleaned and it did not pick up all the soil. Mohawk's unprofessional 3rd party inspector said my carpet had soil on it and my claim was denied. I don't have any pets in my house and I have a cleaning service who cleans every other week. I looked up the warranty and it says there is a lifetime warranty on soil". The 3rd party inspector just left my house, I am in the exact same situation as you, except we had them pro cleaned twice, at least my inspector was professional. He said we should hear from Mohawk in 3 weeks at the most, and if we do not we should get the place we bought the carpet from to follow up. Keep you all posted!
UPDATED ON 11/10/2015: Mohawk's analyst came by to take a few strands and samples. Sent to the lab. Mohawk says that we did not get the carpet cleaned frequently enough, and they said the carpet cleaning company did a bad job. This is Alberta Carpet Cleaning, they even sent a senior tech over to re-clean the carpet, as we felt it must be the cleaning right? I mean, if this carpet can handle being the floor covering for a Rhino for a full year, and then just come clean with a spray hose, it is obviously the sub-standard carpet cleaning outfit! I guess me and my wife, with no kids, and no pets, are a lot filthier than a Rhino! Ha Ha! I feel really dirty, I need a shower. Oh well, never trust a salesmen, never trust a manufacturer, do your third-party research on the Internet to arrive at your own conclusions. I wish I had done the research, I would have quickly found out what Monarch is all about.
