Complaint / review text:
You failed to explain to me clearly how your business works and put me in a bad position as a result. When you ask me on the phone (and I am surprised - in the first place I am not actually talking to the company I thought I was calling, because I am unfamiliar with your practice) do I ever need gutters cleaned and roof done or is there any other project I am considering and you DON'T TELL ME that by giving me a company name I am going to be immediately contacted with an expectation to give me an estimate for work done.
This is problematic for me from a business and budget sense as well as personal one when I am inundated with crazy calls, texts and emails. You also failed to tell me you are charging these guys for this referral so I see from their end why they have every right to expect to give an estimate. I needed a heads up on that. That to me is just courtesy and fairness all around and I am not happy to have been surprised and tricked like that.
