We purchased a new Dyson vacuum cleaner in Feb. Of this year (it's now Nov 2010). After a few months of use, my wife started to complain about the vacuum not working well. It worked really well when we received it so I checked it out. Well, the belt that spins the roller is broken. On most vacuums, it's an easy replacement but since this is new I called Dyson. The customer service lady first accused me of damaging the vacuum by running over something, which absolutely did not happen. Then I was told the warranty was out. Five year warranty that doesn't cover a major component of the machine is out in 10 months? Ridiculous. I'll never buy another Dyson machine ever.
