Complaint / review text:
I bought my mobile home in March of 2009, complete with a Nordyne heat pump system. The first problem was right after installation, the thermostat was damaged, so the installer came immediately and replaced it.in December of 2010, the unit had leaked coolant, but I could not get the installer to come to service it. He complained it was too far of a drive, that anyone could service it and get the warranty information. So a local company checked it out, but couldn't find the leak, but refilled it with coolant, which cost $150.
Again in September 2011, the AC began having fits. The local company came back to discover that coils had leaked. There was nothing more, that the local company could do as they couldn't access the warranty since they do not deal with Nordyne. I got in touch with the installer today only to find out that the coils have only a one-year warranty. The Nordyne website boasts of offering the best consumer warranties around. What a lie! You take pride and say you have such high quality products, no wonder you don't back them. To purchase the coils, it will cost $700 plus labor. I will never do business with Nordyne again.
