Complaint / review text:
I have purchased for the last four years the crystal clear 60 watt decorative bulb for my open ended light fixtures in my home because I like how the shape of the bulb looks in the fixture. But I have had 10 bulbs (in the last four years) become separated glass from metal socket and found hanging out of the fixture. At first, you just notice that a bulb is out, but upon closer inspection, you will notice that the glass part of the bulb is hanging by a wire from the metal socket. Upon replacing the bulb, you cannot get the metal piece out of the inside of the fixture. You must get a needle-nosed pliers and pry the remainder of the bulb out.
Shards of metal and small bits of black stuff falls all over the table and floor in the process. My worry is one of these days, someone will try this and get electrocuted. I don't think anyone should have to call a specialist in to remove a light bulb. Do you? Even though I like the look of the bulb, I guess I will have to look at a different product. Unfortunately, I still have about four boxes (2 packs) left to use. Hopefully, the store will take them back without a receipt.
