Complaint / review text:
We purchased a Trane Unit in 6/2008 and we have had nothing but problems. We had to replace the thermostat. The heat would not work so we had to replace the heater strip. Now, the AC is not working. They say it is the TXV expansion valve. We have only had this unit a little over three years and it has been nothing but extra money paying for labor and diagnoses on a unit that should not have this many problems. I feel it is a lemon, there should be some kind of law that does not allow the companies that work for Trane or Trane to take advantage of people who purchase their products and have faulty parts that they already know are faulty, then charge the customer to have them replaced by paying for labor and diagnoses when they know these parts are faulty. They should send out recalls to the customers and have them replaced at no charge instead of getting rich off of customers who purchase this unit with no knowledge of the problems they're going to have and keep selling this unit to new customers so they can experience the same troubles.
