I bought a Troy-Bilt 24" snow blower at Lowe's in 11/11...

I bought a Troy-Bilt 24" snow blower at Lowe's in 11/11. It dd not snow in the northeast so I never needed to use it. When I cleaned my garage this year, I decided to try the machine and it started fine. About 5 weeks later, I started it again and it would not start. I took it for repairs thinking it was under the 2 year warranty, but now they are telling me that the problem is caused by bad fuel. When I called Troy-Bilt, they told me the carburetor could get varnished (read that, destroyed) if you leave gas in it for a month. They said it happens with all small engines, but this is the only problem I ever had. Customer service says they get these calls all the time. Sounds like they have a manufacturing problem and should stop blaming it on the gas.

First and only Troy-Bilt product I will ever have. Customer service was of no help other than laying the blame on the gas companies. They need to take responsibility for their product. I never had this problem with any lawnmowers, trimmer, blowers, etc. But of course, none of them were Troy-Bilt. I now have a new and unused snow blower that I have to pay to repair!
