Complaint / review text:
All of this started when my washer and dryer broke down. We tried Craigslist. One of my roommates, I had two, said we can go to Aaron's. They had me put it in my name because I was the only one with credit. Shortly after getting these items (a washer, dryer and a computer), my female roommate lost her job. 3 weeks after her leaving her job, he did too. I could no longer afford the washer, dryer and the computer so I called their parents to come pick up their things.instead of picking up the things, they said "we can't" without me there. Me being the only one that has a job, I couldn't risk waiting on Aaron's to pick it up. I attempted to have it picked up 3 times, after I was kicked out fighting over the money that I didn't have to pay rent for two people that could not get another job.
They changed the locks. I couldn't get into the house. I was no longer on the lease. Aaron's met the same response. I know they were home and not answering the door. I had no idea what to do and who to call. I told Arron's, crying, that this was happening. I gave Aaron's the address of where my roommates were. I don't know what they did with it. Facebook with my roommates' delusional mother, she said, "My kids can do no wrong." Then Aaron's told me that her mother (my roommate's mother) told them that it was her daughter's things. Yet again, Aaron's could not get their stuff and had no idea where their stuff is - as well as me, I have no idea.
Frustrated that they couldn't find their merchandise (I was not going to pay for stolen merchandise), they started treating me as if I stole from them. They started threatening me and telling me, "I'm going to take you to court." The last thing I heard was that Aaron's came by and picked up everything. Aaron's didn't call me again so I figured it was found by the information I gave them. Now months later, Aaron's is taking me to court.
