Complaint / review text:
I bought the "water saving" Kenmore Elite Calypso and it has not only dramatically increased my water and electric bills (because of having to wash items multiple times) but it actually ruined clothes by tearing small holes into the fabric. The sensor doesn't work so the the washer doesn't fill with water but rather "sprays" the clothes; I've taken clothes out of the washer that were dry to the touch. It stores dirt so when a bulky item was washed, it came out lined with black streaks. I have to take heavy items to a laundromat.
Light-colored items routinely come out of the washer with dark streaks; dark clothes are left with pale blotches (laundry detergent?). Lastly, the washer manages to tear small holes into items. Unfortunately, I researched the machine after buying only to see that the machine was so flawed that a class action lawsuit was filed; I called Sears about my machine and was told that my model was "fine." Way to go, Sears!
