I got a call to change my service to get a better rate on my electricity. When I switched, TXU offered me an even lower rate to stay with them. I accepted and Ambient Energy sent me a bill of $205.52 plus let me know they planned to terminate my electricity if I did not pay it in 15 days. When I called, they told me I should receive a welcome letter telling me about the termination fee. Well, I got the welcome letter and the bill on the same day... I would not suggest that anyone transfer their electricity to Ambient before checking with their current provider first. This is one of their primary ways to get money from consumers. Do not fall for this! Please check with your current company before changing any utility.
