Complaint / review text:
I ordered Mohawk's Supreme Selection Dijon nylon carpet. I had a little sample from the carpet sample book and then a 4x4 square. Both were the same color. However, when the carpet came to my house it did not match either. It looked old and faded (not "used" but dull) and I hated the color. I filed a complaint through the company I purchased it from. We sent in the two samples and then a piece of the carpet I received. Mohawk agreed that the carpet they sent me did not match the sample. However they said they were not able to sell me the color in the sample because they don't make it anymore? (Yet they are still sending samples out?) And then they offered me $379 to keep the carpet (that I paid $1732 for, including padding and installation). I refused.
The store I bought the carpet from gave me a refund and took the carpet/padding out and is now in a dispute with Mohawk.in the meantime I now have bare wood floors until I buy new carpet. I think it is a disgrace that Mohawk is sending out samples for carpet that they no longer make, and then are substituting a different color. I am satisfied that at least they acknowledged that the color didn't match but otherwise very angry.
