Complaint / review text:
Transfer of my unit at Strelitzia went through on 01 June 2011. Therefore the 5 year warranty period only expires on 01 June 2016. The tiles in my unit started to lift last year and were repaired under the warranty. Not all the tiles were replaced only the ones lifting at the time were.
The remaining tiles have only started lifting now. However, Balwin claim this is a cosmetic defect and not a structural defect and therefore not covered under the warranty. My question then is why were all previous lifting tiles repaired under warranty?
Balwin even stated the following in our June 2014 newsletter "All owners are to please inspect their units for loose tiles and other defects which are to be reported to Balwin (011 450 2818), as the 5 year warranty on their work is to expire soon."
Well this is my notice being reported within the 5 year period.
