My wife and son bought a Toro recycler model 20334 from Home Depot June 2013. The mower ran well initially. Then on April 2014, after the long winter, it was time to use the mower again. The mower will not start, but after a lot of pulls and electric start, I managed to get it started, but after the bag was filled, one has to let go of the mower to empty the bag into a yard waste container, mower did not want to restart. One has to wait for around 30 minutes before it will restart.
I tried to call a Toro dealer but the dealer wanted to charge $50, just for them to look at the mower. If they have to take the mower back to their shop, they will charge another $70. I was frustrated that I will spend $120 without any work or repair done to the mower! I talked to Toro customer service and they told me that I will have to talk to a Toro dealer. So, endless finger pointing between Toro and their dealers. Just wondering whether anyone has initiated a class action suit against Toro. If not, can we initiate one to teach Toro that they cannot keep on selling a defective product.
