On May 26 placed carpet order at the Home Depot in Salinas, CA for just the 3 bedrooms and hallway. First red flag... They were measuring every room in the home to get the "correct measurements". I had to call to make sure they only ordered for the 3 bedrooms. We were able to move on, they said carpet would arrive by June 15.. Then the 23... Then the 26. FINALLY, they scheduled installation date... July 5. A couple of days before they called that they couldn't make it after all... Their guy was sick and postponed it to July 12.
Installation guy arrived and said that with all cuts that were designed for the hallway it was damaged the carpet and it would need to be replaced in a month. NO ONE from Home Depot cared to advise us on this! What do we know about carpet installation? Now they want us to pay $369.00 more to have enough carpet for the hallway! I called and spoke with Lisa, which no help and willing to take responsibility for the lack of communication and correct information being given to their customers. WE will not be able to get a refund. We had always shopped at their store, but there is no way that after this type of service and lack of responsibility and professionalism will I take any business to them. We are no charity case to receive this type of treatment. We are force to go through the installment in order to lose our money. What a disappointment!
