I ordered tickets from Stubhub at Stubhub.com and when the tickets arrived there was a large paper with them telling me to check my tickets carefully. This should have been a tipoff. I looked them over carefully but carefully enough! I took my husband and my niece and her husband to Radio City Music Hall for a very special concert, and when we handed our tickets to the ticket taker it turned out they were for the day before. I had not noticed that they were for the wrong date! I realize this is my own fault in part, but when I made the purchase I was on the phone with my niece and we talked through every step of it, and never once considered going on that Friday, only on Saturday. We had a hotel booked for Saturday and we both had it on our calendars for Saturday.
I now know why they include the huge disclaimer in the envelope with your overpriced tickets. The show was sold out, and we could have bought tickets for Friday night, but I live far from the venue and it would have been impossible to get to it in time after work. This may be why the Friday tickets were so much less desirable, and why we were given them instead of the tickets I bought on the website. This was definitely a scam, and I am positive that I did not purchase tickets for Friday, but for Saturday. They charged the $130 per ticket for four tickets, plus numerous fees of over $50 additional per ticket, leaving me with nearly an $800 loss.
