Complaint / review text:
I had ADT personnel assess the existing alarm system at my property and quote me to have an ADT alarm system installed that would manage the beams, indoor passives and electric fence from one control unit that had remote control functionality. I accepted the quotation and paid the deposit within an hour of receiving the quotation.
I was then contacted by ADT to come and install the alarm system. I took of time from work and met with the installation team at my property. Within less than five minutes I was told that the quote of R7 110.17 would not cover the installation I requested, and a further R5 130.00 was needed to make the system work as briefed to ADT personnel previously. I immediately cancelled the contract as I was willing to pay the additional R5 130.00 that was not quoted.
It is now almost a month later and nobody from ADT can give me a straight answer as to when I will be refunded; there is never a manager available to handle my complaint.
