Sold an item on ebay. When buyer received, he stated not as described. Buyer was advised to return for full refund if not happy. Buyer stated he did not want to return, and wanted a refund. I contacted ebay to advise that buyer has made statement he does not have to prove. Buyer also stated he wanted to keep the item and also get refund. Ebay stated they would not get involved. I refused buyers attempt at extortion and my refusal got me an unwarranted negative feedback from buyer. I contacted ebay again about this extortion and lack of seller protection and the unwarranted negative feedback. Ebay again stated they would not get involved. I escalated to a supervisor that advised if I did not want the negative feedback, I should have paid the buyer off and allowed him to keep the item and get a refund. This is the level of protection that ebay gives a seller that is paying fees to ebay!
