Complaint / review text:
My boyfriend and I walked into this Pick 'n Pay in the Adelphi Centre in Seapoint today.
He had my mini Yorkie in my bag on his arm, and we wanted to quickly go in and buy Apple Juice. My mini Yorkie in the bag on his arm - we've been allowed like this into many health conscious institutions before with no queries or issues including other branches of yours.
As we walked about 10 steps in, and about 2 metres away from where the manager was standing - the security guard ran up to us and told us the dog is not allowed inside.
My boyfriend asking why not and turning around, found the security guard pulling at my bag as if to take it off his shoulder, and my boyfriend started getting defensive. After all, it has never been permissable for any security guard to use force without any real threat or damage in sued.
I then took my bag off his arm and he walked in while I stood outside the entrance.
As my boyfriend walked down the Isle, I watched the manager turn around and ask thE security guard what happened. The guard explained, to which the manager replied "No, them."
... A clear indication of how much us, the paying customer, is valued by this institution & staff.
