We purchased schoolbags & stationery on 31 Dec 2014 from Makro Crown Mines. School opened on 14 Jan 2015. After TWO DAYS of school, the strap on my son's schoolbag snapped! Bearing in mind that this schoolbag cost us R400, we were apalled!
We took the bag back to Makro on 25 Jan & explained the situation. The 14 day return policy would not have been possible because school only opened 15 days after purchasing the bag & the bag was not used until the first day of school so how could we have brought it back within 14 days if school wasn't even open yet?!
We told this all to Kgomotso, the lady in charge of that dept & she told us she would call us by Wednesday of that week to tell us what the supplier said, if the bag would be replaced or repaired. This turned out to be a waste of time because each time we called her, she had the same feedback "the person at the supplier is not working"
Tomorrow is ONE MONTH since that bag was booked in & over a month that my son is without a proper schoolbag. He struggles everyday with those heavy books in a tog bag.
Why does Makro use suppliers that don't come to work or respond? And how long must we wait for feedback!?? This is ridiculous!!
