I ordered a product on 2/18 at Fry's website based on their having the lowest price plus free shipping. I received an email from Fry's the same day confirming my order and the estimated delivery date of the product was 3/9. Today, 2/25, I logged on to Fry's because my credit card had not been billed for the item and found that the order was on 'partial backorder' whatever that means.
I called the Fry's customer service number and was on hold for over 15 minutes before someone finally took my call. The phone system that they use is pretty bad. We could not talk at the same time. I complained that I was not notified that the status of my order had changed to 'partial backorder'. Also, I asked the rep what does that mean.
All she said was that the order was on back order. She added that she would email the product manager to find out when they should receive the shipment from the company that they get this particular product from. Then, I decided to cancel my order. The rep said she would cancel my order and that I should receive an email very soon. As of now, I still hadn't received an email confirming my cancellation of my order. Buyer beware!!! I just ordered the product from Amazon which I should had done in the first place. Amazon is a little higher but at least I have not had any issues with orders from them.
