Complaint / review text:
I went to Macys maternity section to make a return today 6/12/15 at 4pm. Upon arriving at the counter there were no reps present.
After waiting for 10 minutes I went walking around to find someone. I found someone from another department and she got someone for me. I explained to the sales person, named Kennedy, that I was there to return 3 items but did not have a receipt because it was a gift from a family member. She told me to wait while she went to back to scan the items and check the price.
She came back with prices and I asked if she would be able to give me store credit. At first she asked if I wanted to look around but I told her I was pregnant and due in 11 days so I would prefer credit. She said ok and at that moment another sales rep walked over. She asked the sales rep to process the return but that sales rep said she would not because I did not have a receipt even though I was just told by Kennedy that I was able to return the items.
They told me to tell the person that bought the items to come back with their Macy's card or a receipt. The return policy on the counter clearly states that you can return an item without a receipt and receive the price it is going for now. I said to Kennedy that it does not make sense to me why she would tell me she was going to give me a credit but now she was not because of the sales woman that walked over. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said "I am the supervisor.
My name is Kennedy just like the airport" so I asked if there was someone else to speak to and she replied "Yeah corporate and you can find their number on the Internet" I am appalled at being treated this way by a Macy's supervisor. I have been a Macy's customer for many years and have bought all of my maternity clothes at this Macy's and have spent a lot of money. I have never been treated so rudely and spoken to so obnoxiously. I am very upset and being 9 months pregnant with 11 days left, I should not have to endure stress the way that I did from a supervisor today.
I am highly upset at this treatment and would like to be contacted. This is absurd behavior thatIi have never faced at Macy's before.
