Complaint / review text:
After having used PayPal for years with no problem, and having a cashed up credit cards that has no problems, PayPal are now insisting on having further bank account details. There is pressure to use their banking system, although when I speak to representatives on the phone, they claim this is not the case. I do not wish to set up an account with PayPal and should have a choice about that. It is fair enough to ask for verification, however, I have already provided two email addresses and have a long five-star history of past transactions.
Trying to resolve this problem has wasted a lot of phone and email time with PayPal (who just send proforma letters) and I don't understand why there is this sudden problem, nor can PayPal give me help resolve the problem (they don't even seem interested to help). Guess I will save money in future by just not shopping on eBay - as many sellers want to use PayPal instead of internet direct debit or credit card.
