I used to shop at Goodwill pretty regularly, but I will never shop or donate to them again. Their pricing is completely out of control in all departments, their customer service is terrible. The stores are dirty and disorganized, and they are trying to sell broken items. There are 4 stores in my area and they are all the same. My most recent and last visit, there was a pretty worn Miami Dolphins football jersey with their famous black tag for $49.99, a Batman action figure that was missing parts and cape for $8.99, a broken Spiderman figure for $7.99 (the same figures are in Walmart and Target for about $15.00 to $20.00 new and complete), and a COFFEE CUP for $4.99! That's just to name a few items.
This was the first time in several months that I had stepped foot inside one of their stores. I had stopped because on a previous visit, the cashier decided to change a price of an item that I was purchasing because she didn't feel it was priced high enough! I was completely blown away and demanded to speak to a manager, the manager actually agreed and backed up the cashier. Needless to say I left everything that I was going to buy sitting on the counter at the checkout stand. It was only a $1.00 difference, but what gives them the right to change a price at the checkout and how is that even legal?!
