I have shopped at this chain for many years. Recently I noticed that if you return a product and purchased with a coupon, they take the amount of the coupon back, but they do not give you the coupon back or a store credit. This is called double dipping. Customer Service tells me that it is policy. I asked them if they then contact the company to return the amount of the coupon plus whatever other amount they receive. She had no response.
The reason I caught it was because I had a $3.00 coupon. I called the 800 # and they also told me it was policy also. I tried to explain & they said there is nothing they can do about it. I was online one day & I saw a customer service rep. Being trained. That is the way they were training him. When I realized, I took notice and no other store does this. I actually asked CVS, Walgreens, Stop & Shop & Pathmark. Shoprite should be ashamed of themselves. Taking advantage of customers. What college educated person thought this up!
