Complaint / review text:
I purchased a high-end MSI laptop in July for my son at University. The hard drive failed on 9/25/2015. The laptop was sent to MSI for repair. They sent it on 10/8/2015 back with a "new hard drive". The machine failed again on 10/11/2015. MSI said to either keep sending it back to them or contact the vendor for a replacement. I went to the Fry's store in Houston where I purchased the machine. They said it was over the 30 days return period and I was forced to deal with MSI to continue to get it fixed.
In the meantime, my son has been without his laptop for almost a month at a University where the vast majority of work is internet/intranet based. The machine is a lemon, I expect a store to stand behind their products. The manager I spoke with mention they had other issues with MSI laptops - very sad. I am now forced to purchase another machine for my son to continue at University. This second machine will not be from Fry's. I will never shop there again.
