Complaint / review text:
I purchased a vintage radio from eBay seller, TheToneFarm, using PayPal. The radio arrived damaged and was materially different from the sellers description. When I tried to get a refund from eBay under their Buyer Protection plan, they did a bait and switch and my complaint was handled by PayPal, who denied it without comment. I tried again to get a refund from eBay under their Buyer Protection plan and they refused because it had already gone through PayPal. I gave bad feedback to the seller, who got my private email address from eBay and sent me a life-threatening email. EBay and PayPal had no right giving out my personal information and endangering my life. They refused to do anything to the seller and didn't even apologize. The seller then offered to cancel the transaction, which I accepted. I returned the radio but the seller then refused to refund my money. Again, eBay refused to do anything to the seller or refund my money. So I'm now living under duress from the seller and am out the cost of the radio, the radio itself and the cost of shipping it back to the seller.
