Alright, so I was out shopping on Saturday night, you know, just the basics to get through the weekend. My bank isn't open during the weekends so I couldn't withdraw any money. Regardless, I just brought my card and went into the store to buy some things. When I got to the register, the worker at said register scanned my items and everything. I went to swipe my card, the machine couldn't read it. So obviously, it meant the magnetic part on the card was not functioning properly. I simply asked for her to type it in manually. She said she couldn't and called over someone with the key, Shannon.instead of resolving the issue, she just stated she couldn't do it even with the key and so I was only left with one option. I asked to see the store manager to come and hopefully resolve the issue by typing it in manually. But no, she didn't even wait. She just grabbed my items, cancelled the order, and walked off. "Oh, he'll tell you the exact same thing" she nagged.
Her attitude was atrocious, her tone was nasty, and she seemed all peeved because I just asked for her to input me number since it couldn't scan. If this is the way Shoprite trains its employees, obviously, something needs to be fixed. I mean, I had money in my pocket, I could have picked the items I needed the most and paid for them with cash, but she didn't even wait. She just took the stuff, left, did not wait for the store manager, and acted extremely rude. All I was doing was buying some milk and other things I needed for the rest of the weekend for my kids, but it seems I can't even do that without something like this happening.
