Complaint / review text:
I wouldn't even complain if this was the first time it's happened, but I am sitting here waiting for a kitchen range and dishwasher. Home Depot likes to call the "night before" and let you know if they'll show up with the merchandise morning or afternoon. It's a time frame, like noon to five. Etc.
The first time (about 6 months ago) I bought a new fridge. Was scheduled morning delivery, got a call around noon saying they were running late, and they finally showed up about 3:30 P.M.
This time, I was informed that it would be the noon and five deal. Since no one had called within thirty minutes of five, I called the number on the paperwork. Guess what! I was on hold forever, only to find out there were still four deliveries ahead of me. It is now twenty til seven and I am still waiting. I got a call from who I assume was the driver, AFTER I contacted THAT number on the paperwork saying they were about forty five minutes behind. Hello, now it's closer to an hour and a half and still waiting.
Next time I buy something major, it will be from Lowe's. I think letting the VICTIM know the evening before whether it will be morning or afternoon stinks. We are given no choice... Basically this ties up the whole day. And gee, I bought this stuff EIGHT DAYS AGO. So what the heck?
