I special ordered a sofa and love seat Oct. 27 they said it would be eight weeks.
I thought that was a long time, but it didnt matter i wasnt in a hurry. They called to schedule delivery on Dec. 26. On dec 24 they called and said, "your furniture may be a few days late because it was shipped to the wrong state." i wasnt thrilled, but it was for my formal living room and it wasnt a necessity.
10 days later my husband calls and asked what the status was. They said, "we dont even know where it is, so i cant schedule a date yet" out of frustration he canceled the order. The customer service rep said we would receive a refund within 10 days. I called back the next day to make sure they were not charging me a restocking fee.
The customer service rep said, "you wont be getting a refund at all, because it was a special order" i said, "you have got to be kidding me, they dont even know where it is." he said he would have a supervisor call me back. I received a call very quickly, she was very polite and knowledgeable. She made a full refund. She had also told me they still didnt know where the furniture was.
Even though macy's did promise a full refund what i really wanted was my furniture. I talked up this sofa so much to a friend he purchased it and received it within days of order (stock color) and loves it. Its too bad i wont be recommending it to anyone else or ordering furniture from macy's again.
This sucks i really liked it too and havent found anything that comes close.
