I just came back from the Manalapan, NJ Joyce Leslie Store. I have shopped at this store numerous times since it opened. This store is so crowded with clothes and accessories you can hardly move in the store. That is just one complaint. Here's more. I was shopping there last week and purchased numerous items. I was at the counter paying and could not believe how belittling the manager was to the cashier. Seemed like every move she made, the manager had some kind of negative comment to make. I thought this was so unnecessary and so unprofessional in front of customers. I was back at the store today to make a return. I could not find my receipt and figured I could just make an even exchange or get a store credit.
Well, there was a girl in front of me making a return with no receipt and was told she needed receipt in order to make the return. She asked if she could bring her credit card invoice in. The manager came over, interrupted the girl and said no, they need to get specific numbers off of receipt. The girl looked dumbfounded and then just turned around and left. No apologies from the manager or cashier. I then approached them and asked if I heard correctly - no even exchange or store credit? They both said no and stood there and stared at me. So I now have an item that I can't do anything with. I definitely would think twice before shopping at any Joyce Leslie. If you do, make sure you have your receipt!
