I recently purchased a coupon for a local restaurant. Shortly thereafter the restaurant closed and the owner of the restaurant said to get a refund from Groupon.
I emailed Groupon's service with evidence of the closing. They then commenced sending me pre-scripted emails and lied saying that the restaurant was still open and that they were working with the owner. I emailed them repeatedly requesting a refund to my credit card and I was virtually ignored for over a week.
Groupon clearly has no desire to refund me. This was the first time that I purchased something from Groupon and it's going to be the last.
